Many colleges have been scrambling in recent weeks to comply with the new gainful employment (GE) regulations from the Department of Education. The first component of the GE rules — disclosures for non-degree programs — went into effect July 1, and other deadlines are quickly approaching.

Already EMSI has helped quite a few colleges with our data template and easy-to-implement program page disclosure widget (see an example). We’re hoping to get the word out more by hosting a gainful employment webinar on Friday, July 8 at 1 p.m. EDT (to register, email Larson Hicks or see more below).

The webinar will cover important background on the USDE’s new regulations geared toward for-profit colleges and vocational programs in general. Members of our development staff will go in depth on how EMSI can help colleges comply with parts of the GE regulations with our Career Coach tool, custom program mapping, and disclosure widgets.

Participants will hear the latest on gainful employment, how EMSI’s clients are adapting, and why EMSI is ideally suited to assist colleges link their educational programs to occupations and display data that can be easily absorbed by visitors to their website.
