Webinar: The Importance of Creating a Career Vision

This Thursday, November 8, EMSI will be hosting a Career Coach webinar along with Dr. Bruce Leslie, Chancellor of Alamo Colleges in Texas. Join us for a Q&A with Dr. Leslie regarding EMSI’s recent white paper, “The Importance of Creating a Career Vision.”

2:00 (EST) Thursday, November 8

Contact Char Scheibe at cscheibe@economicmodeling.com to sign up.

Here’s a quick rundown of the paper’s main points:

1. Flat or negative enrollment growth now joins retention & completion and labor market outcomes as major issues burdening U.S colleges and universities.

2. The primary culprit behind the recent enrollment decline is most likely higher prices and a weak job market.

3. Students need to do a lot more than enroll. They need a lot more than a degree. They need a vision, they need focus, they need to know what they are aiming at and why.

4. How can colleges and universities help build a career vision? They can establish strong, clear connections between their programs and labor market outcomes.

We hope you can join us for this exciting discussion.
