2020

    The 2020 pandemic accelerated pre-existing trends of rising remote work, slowing population growth, and the out-migration of large cities. In fact, mid-sized markets made up more than half of the top 100.

2019

    Several counties experienced massive growth due to large commercial players moving to their area, including Wayfair & Amazon moving to Duval County, Florida or Tesla building its Gigafactory in little Storey County, Nevada.

2018

    Texas and Florida are bringing residents into their regions with high job growth and net migrations. In fact, 34% of the top 50 counties were in Florida.
