Electro-Optical Systems refers to the use of electronic and optical devices and technologies to detect, analyze, and manipulate light for a specific purpose. This specialized skill requires expertise in areas such as optics, electronics, and software to develop systems that can perform tasks such as tracking, surveillance, and imaging. It is used in various industries including defense, aerospace, and telecommunications.

Flight Testing refers to the process of evaluating the performance, safety, and reliability of aircraft and aerospace systems through controlled flight operations. This skill encompasses the planning, execution, and analysis of test flights to gather data on various parameters such as flight dynamics, system functionality, and compliance with design specifications. Knowledge of Flight Testing is used to identify potential issues, validate design changes, and ensure that aircraft meet regulatory standards before entering service.

Radar is the use of electromagnetic waves to detect and locate objects, often used in navigation and military applications. It requires specialized knowledge in the use and interpretation of radar equipment, as well as an understanding of radio waves and their properties.

Spacecraft refers to vehicles designed for travel or operation in outer space, capable of carrying instruments, equipment, and sometimes crew. This skill encompasses knowledge of spacecraft design, engineering, and operation, which enables the user to develop and manage missions for scientific exploration, satellite deployment, and space travel. Understanding Spacecraft is utilized in various applications, including research in astrophysics, Earth observation, and communication technologies, by ensuring the successful execution of space missions and the functionality of onboard systems.

Subsystems refer to individual systems or components within a larger system that perform specific functions. A specialized skill in this area involves the ability to understand and analyze the functioning of these subsystems and how they interact with each other and the larger system as a whole. This skill is important in various industries such as engineering, aerospace, and technology where complex systems are designed and maintained.
