We’re excited to introduce a new update to the Career Coach product family: Hot Careers. This feature instantly reveals the most promising career paths based on live labor market data. With Hot Careers, your learners can easily identify growing, high-potential occupations in their region, connecting their education to real, attainable success.
It answers the question every user asks — “Is this a strong career for me?” — by automatically surfacing occupations with the highest opportunity based on real-world data.
What Qualifies as “Hot”?
A career earns the "hot" designation when it meets all three regional benchmarks:
Pays above the median salary for the area.
Shows faster job growth over the last five years than the regional average.
Has at least 200 active jobs in the current year.
Where to Find It
The feature is seamlessly built into Career Coach:
A dedicated Hot Careers page lists all qualifying occupations in the region.
The homepage displays the top three Hot Careers for instant visibility.
A flame icon appears on any career card that meets the criteria.
