WEC Strengthens Strategic Partnership with Lightcast

The World Employment Confederation (WEC) is pleased to announce Lightcast, a global leader in labour market data and analytics, as its Strategic Data Partner.

Lightcast and WEC have collaborated for many years, with Lightcast's data and expertise regularly informing WEC's research and member content. This partnership formalises that relationship, reflecting Lightcast's role as a trusted source of insight for WEC and the wider employment services community, from skills shortages and workforce mobility to the evolving role of technology in hiring and recruitment.

“With the world of work changing at an astonishing pace, organisations need a clear and up-to-date view of what is happening across labour markets to make confident decisions. That’s why we’re genuinely excited to partner with the World Employment Confederation as its Strategic Data Partner. By combining WEC’s deep industry expertise with Lightcast’s world-leading work intelligence, we turn data into actionable insights – empowering WEC and its members to better understand changing labour market trends, strengthen evidence-based advocacy, and navigate the future of work.”

Timothy van den Broek, CEO, Lightcast

Marco Tucci, Vice President at Lightcast, joined WEC's WEConversations | Turning Data Into Insight: Economic & Workforce Trends Shaping 2026, to unpack hiring dynamics, emerging economic signals, and the accelerating impact of AI on workforce transformation, giving members a practical, data-driven view of what to expect in the year ahead.

“This partnership builds on a relationship that has served our members well for years. Lightcast brings data we trust, and that trust matters when our members and stakeholders rely on our analysis. With our Strategic Data Partnership, we keep raising the standard of what WEC offers to its members and stakeholders”

Minna Melleri, Executive Director, World Employment Confederation

Lightcast's data also underpinned WEC's Labour Market Intelligence Insights for Q1 2026, contributing to the report's analysis of hiring trends, skills demand, and the uneven recovery of agency work across regions.

WEC looks forward to continuing its work with Lightcast to bring members sharper, more actionable labour market intelligence in the year ahead.
