Lightcast and Databricks are working together to help joint customers accelerate their analytics and AI initiatives by making it easier to integrate labor market data into a variety of use cases, including machine learning models, predictive analytics, and business intelligence applications. The native integration eliminates traditional data silos and enables real-time analysis at scale.
While Lightcast data has been available on Databricks since late 2024, being listed on the marketplace creates a smoother procurement process, and also enables free trials for users. Teams can now gain quick and easy trial access to Lightcast's labor market data and to make sense of it using Lightcast's Open Skills and Open Titles. This is done directly through the familiar Databricks interface—no separate agreements required.
The Lightcast data available through the Databricks Marketplace includes comprehensive and accessible data on labor market trends, job postings, workforce profiles, compensation, career pathways, skills projections, demographic insights, and more. These insights are based on more than 18 billion labor market data points, including job postings, career profiles, and compensation data, to create compounded value and generate the world’s leading labor market intelligence.
Databricks users can also download the Lightcast skills and titles taxonomies. These free resources categorize jobs and skills, empowering users to better understand the jobs and skills their organization has and needs, which improves reporting capability and provides a benchmark for comparison against the broader labor market.
