Dr. Ama Agyeiwaa Abrokwah
Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce
Ama is the Director of Research for Economic Development at the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce. In her role, she conducts research to support business attraction, business retention, workforce, and talent strategy efforts of the Chamber as well as regional partners and investors.
Ama brings a wealth of experience from her previous positions in different industries, such as Investment Services Manager, Lead Researcher, and Senior Quantitative Research Analyst. During her tenure as a Senior Quantitative Research Analyst at True North Strategic Advisors, Ama worked extensively on research projects for the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership. It was in this role that she developed her passion for economic development research.
She is a Ph.D. Economist with a strong research and statistical modeling background. Her expertise was recognized when she received the Graduate Research and Creative Scholar Award during her Ph.D. program at Western Michigan University. Prior to that, she obtained a master’s degree in Financial and Regulatory Economics from Illinois State University.
As a dedicated researcher, Ama provides strategic and tactical leadership by conducting research to support community building and economic development initiatives. Her contributions play a crucial role in advancing these endeavors.
