Automated Testing Framework

Automated Testing Framework is a software development tool that allows testers to write and execute tests for software applications automatically. It helps to improve the speed, efficiency, and accuracy of software testing by automating the repetitive and time-consuming tasks that manual testing requires. An Automated Testing Framework usually contains a set of libraries, guidelines, and reusable code components that testers can use to create and execute tests quickly and easily. It's a specialized skill that requires knowledge of programming languages, testing frameworks, and software development methodologies.

Exploratory testing is a technique where testers learn about the system under test while actively testing it. It is an unscripted, flexible approach to testing, where the tester critically analyzes the software and its interactions with the environment. It requires the tester to think creatively, intuitively and learn quickly, as they follow hunches and create new test scenarios on the fly. Exploratory testing is considered a specialized skill because it requires the ability to rapidly generate new test ideas while maintaining a strong analytical focus on the software being tested.

Test Automation Tools are software applications used to automate the execution of test cases in software development to improve efficiency and accuracy. These tools facilitate regression testing, functional testing, and performance testing by reducing manual effort and increasing test coverage. They are widely used in agile and DevOps environments to enhance software quality and accelerate development cycles.

Test Management Tools refer to software programs that are used by quality assurance analysts and testers to manage, plan, and execute software testing activities. These tools help streamline the testing process, track bugs, and generate test reports, making it easier to identify and rectify any issues in the software. Some examples of Test Management Tools include JIRA, HP ALM, and TestRail. To effectively use these tools, one should have knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies, as well as experience working with various types of testing tools.

qTest refers to the use of a test management platform for planning, organizing, and tracking software testing activities. It is used to manage test cases, record execution results, monitor defects, and support coordination across testing teams and development workflows. The skill involves maintaining test coverage, documenting outcomes, and producing reports that help assess software quality and release readiness.
