Concurrent Versions System (Software)
Concurrent Versions System (CVS) is a software tool used for version control of programming code or documents. It allows multiple developers to work on the same project concurrently, without interfering with one another's work. CVS keeps track of changes and allows developers to easily update their local working copies with the latest changes made by others. It has been largely replaced by newer version control systems such as Git and SVN, but is still used in some legacy systems.
