Emsi is excited to announce the upcoming Workforce Collaboration Summit on September 26 in Gainesville, FL. This unique, one-day event will bring together leaders from higher education, economic and workforce development, and private industry—all with one shared mission: helping Florida’s workforce thrive in the modern economy.
In today’s tight labor market and dynamic economy, it takes all stakeholders working together to ensure that training programs are aligned with the evolving needs of regional industries and employers. Summit participants will explore how labor market information can empower this collaboration by providing an objective basis for informed decision-making.

Using data to help align Florida’s workforce needs
Dr. Rob Kadel
We’re excited to have Dr. Rob Kadel, senior research fellow at the Strada Institute for the Future of Work, presenting the keynote address on the new geography of skills. Dr. Kadel will share how a skill-based approach to labor market analysis can help regions identify the unique needs and opportunities most relevant to their area. The presentation will include specific research findings for the state of Florida.
In addition to the keynote, the Summit provides an opportunity to connect with peers and learn from leaders at the forefront of making data-driven decisions. The schedule includes a leadership forum, 10-minute master classes, as well as a town hall-style conversation.
