Nearly three months after the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed into law, details of some of the infrastructure spending have been released.  All told, $5.5 billion has been targeted to make “high-performance green [federal] buildings, renovate and construct federal buildings and courthouses, and renovate and construct land ports of entry.”

The plan, to be executed by the General Services Administration (GSA), includes:

  • $733.7 million for federal buildings and U.S. courthouses,

  • $300 million for border stations and land port of entry, and

  • $4.27 billion for the high-performance green building program.

See below for interactive maps of the projects. The breakdown of the list of projects comes from this PDF. Note: Move your mouse over the colored areas in the first map (you can choose between investment or state) or bubbles in the second map to get even more details. Also, by clicking on the “comment” section, you can see a bigger map and more options, including the actual data file.
