Nearly three months after the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed into law, details of some of the infrastructure spending have been released. All told, $5.5 billion has been targeted to make “high-performance green [federal] buildings, renovate and construct federal buildings and courthouses, and renovate and construct land ports of entry.”
The plan, to be executed by the General Services Administration (GSA), includes:
$733.7 million for federal buildings and U.S. courthouses,
$300 million for border stations and land port of entry, and
$4.27 billion for the high-performance green building program.
