The Boston Globe recently published a fascinating look at how young workers are being forced to fight for internships because of the tight labor market.

There are so many overqualified people willing to be underemployed that at least one job search site is catering to this niche. Jobnob.com recently began “intern happy hours’’ in the San Francisco Bay Area – events at which unemployed people can meet with owners of start-ups over drinks and volunteer to work for experience rather than money.
