Evidence-Based Program Development

To ensure program decisions align with market trends and drive enrollment, it’s critical to have reliable, objective data on the regional economy. At the same time, nothing beats the local knowledge and boots-on-the-ground perspective of a trusted industry partner.

Combining these two sources — quantitative data and analytics, plus qualitative subject matter expertise — offers the best of both worlds, leading to high-impact programs that deliver value to learners and employers alike.

In this webinar, Dr. Larry Banks, Executive Director of Learning and Development at Bryan University, joins Lightcast to discuss the importance of evidence-based program development (EBPD) in higher education.

Learn how to combine labor market information (LMI) with experienced insight from employers to develop the most effective curricula — delivering value to both graduates and industry partners.

Topics will include:

• Best practices for using LMI to assess program viability

• Identifying skills that matter (i.e. the vital few vs. the trivial many)

• Linking skills to curriculum by engaging industry partners

• Leveraging program research to inform marketing messaging, including tips for speaking to prospective students, graduates, and employers
