Recognition of the increasing importance of understanding the skills dynamic can be seen at the highest levels, with the European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, declaring 2023 to be the “European Year of Skills”. But here are three simple but vital questions on skills that must be answered if we are to truly unlock the full potential of the labour market for workers and employers:
