Get a More Complete View of Alumni Success
Career outcomes have become a critical measure of institutional success, and Lightcast’s Alumni Pathways is evolving to help colleges and universities meet growing demand for data that demonstrates those outcomes. With the addition of Global Profiles and the new Alumni Pathways API, institutions can now track alumni success across the world and access — and share — alumni data in a more flexible way that unlocks new insight.
Here's What's New
Global Profiles: Extend alumni career visibility beyond the U.S. with profile data spanning 165 countries. International job titles and skills are translated and standardized using Lightcast's proprietary taxonomies, making it easy to analyze global and domestic alumni outcomes together.
Alumni Pathways API: Connect Alumni Pathways data directly to your institutional systems, making it easier to power dashboards, data warehouses, or public-facing pages with up-to-date outcomes data — no manual uploads required.
Why It Matters
Skepticism about the value of a college degree has been on the rise. New legislation (e.g. Workforce Pell and the Student Tuition and Transparency System) has both reflected and reinforced that trend by tying funding to graduate employment and earnings. As a result, the focus in higher education has shifted from completion to career success.
With these updates, Alumni Pathways becomes an even more flexible and comprehensive tool to help institutions meet the moment.
The addition of Global Profiles unlocks a more complete picture of alumni success, helping institutions track graduates’ career journeys across international borders. The Alumni Pathways API makes it easier to integrate Lightcast career outcomes data with institutional systems or other data sources, enabling more powerful reporting, planning, and marketing applications without the burden of manual data exports or working in spreadsheets.
Both updates reflect Lightcast’s ongoing commitment to helping higher ed understand, demonstrate, and improve alumni career success.
