CollegeAPP and Lightcast Announce Major Data Expansion
[Los Angeles, CA, May 11, 2023] - CollegeAPP, the leading provider of predictive analytics to identify and recruit potential adult students, and Lightcast, the world’s leading provider of labor market data, have published a major upgrade to their combined adult learner recruitment service, CollegeAPP+.
CollegeAPP+ is a proprietary combination of CollegeAPP’s predictive analytics models on future intent to enroll and Lightcast’s vast amount of current occupation and education attainment data. CollegeAPP+ allows adult education programs to identify and recruit potential students based on their likely career paths and interest in pursuing higher or professional education in the next 2 years. The upgraded service, rolled out to clients on May 1, now includes recent and detailed occupation data for more than 47 million adults – double the number in the product’s previous release.

The upgraded service assigns O*Net occupation codes and definitions to each of the 47 million records matched to the CollegeAPP+ database. Clients of the service can filter and sort by occupation as well as probability of intending to enroll in education and training.
CollegeAPP also announced that updated intent models, based on the company’s ongoing surveys of US adults, will be released to all clients in mid-May. “We are now on a very stable cadence of updating and renewing our models across the country. Our last update in February is being used by more than 125 colleges and universities and we expect that number to grow, in part due to our aggressive and timely survey and data updates,” said Sean Godlewski, CollegeAPP’s Vice President of Digital and Client Service. “All partners benefit from our ongoing survey work and ongoing modeling work. There’s no doubt that the CollegeAPP database represents the most current and accurate data on adult learner intent available in higher education.”
