The world of work is complex and changing fast, and that means it's more important than ever to make the right decisions.

Everyone is looking for answers. But with so many disconnected ideas, plans, and strategies, it can feel impossible to see where we are—much less where we’re going.

In today’s dynamic labor market, the right data and the right people make all the difference. At Lightcast, we want to cut through the noise, bring people together, and illuminate the future of work. That’s why we’re excited to reconnect.

Our Key Themes:

Artificial intelligence is on track to revolutionize the entire economy, and this means new skills being taught, sourced, and demanded by educators, communities, and businesses. We’ll talk about how to recognize and apply AI solutions in a way that’s ethical and reliable, so you can trust the way forward in an uncertain future. Top economists will discuss what they’re seeing in the market, and educators and HR professionals will share the impact AI has already had in their spaces and how to adapt.

Skills are the shared language of the labor market—a common thread uniting businesses, communities, learning providers, and individual workers. Looking through a skills lens reduces miscommunication and increases efficiency, meaning everyone can ask for exactly what they need and get exactly what they want. Educators will share how they’re using skills to help students articulate and prepare for their careers, employers will share how skills unlock new possibilities in hiring and workforce development, and community leaders will share how skills enable a better view of their areas to empower the entire region.

Finally, the future of work can feel uncertain, but planning ahead can put you ahead of the curve. Whether it’s the fast pace at which jobs are changing, or coming investment in fields like the green economy and domestic manufacturing, data-based solutions give us a map to see where we are and where we’re going.

What Makes Our Conference Unique

Slide 1 of 4

Lightcast Connect unites speakers from the diverse worlds of enterprise-level businesses, higher education, and government

Preparing and connecting the right people with the right jobs is key to building an equitable and future-ready society—and it’s not a problem that employers, educators, or communities can solve alone. Lightcast Connect brings togethera variety of thought leaders who are all united in their desire to create a job market that works for everyone.

Lightcast Connect provides unique opportunities for networking

It isn’t just our roster of world-class speakers who you can connect with and learn from. Attendees represent the best in Fortune 500 companies, top learning institutions, and governments of all sizes, all together in one place, creating new opportunities to connect over coffee or cocktails as well as in organized sessions to expand your network—and your thinking about the opportunities in the labor market.

Lightcast Connect doesn’t have sponsor booths

Our conference has a lot to offer, but you’ll also notice what it doesn’t have: sponsor booths. You won’t get the hard sell from a company that doesn’t understand your business. Instead, we’re devoting all of our space at The Coeur d’Alene Resort to cutting through the noise, bringing people together, and illuminating the future of work.

Lightcast Connect offers the chance to recharge in the hidden gem of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

This picturesque resort town—and our location at The Coeur d’Alene Resort—is right on the lake, providing gorgeous views of both water and the surrounding mountains. We recommend adding time before or after the conference for hiking, sailing, golf, or a spa visit, but you’ll also get to experience the natural beauty of the northwest in our conference programming.
